My Story
(Why This Is So Important To Me)

Hello my friend,

My name is Dwight and I am the founder of Recovery Centers of Montana.
This business is very personal to me because before I opened my first treatment center, I was on the other side as a patient.
I tried many things to stop. Some were okay, and some were bad. Mostly, I just lied to myself and said I didn't have a problem. Nothing worked enough to give me my life back.
The hardest part was that my life looked normal. I had a job. I had a family. I was busy in my community.
I could not simply "go to rehab" for 30 or 90 days. It was not an option. If I went away, I would have to tell my boss. I would have to leave my kids. I couldn't do that, even though I needed help badly.
I struggled for years. Then, I finally found a center that did things differently. They let me get the same medical help as a hospital, but I could still go home at night. I could keep my job. I could be a dad. That changed everything.
A lot of things have happened since then (both good and bad) but I am proud to say that since I started going to this center many years ago, I have been 100% sober ever since, with not a single setback, and perhaps more important, absolutely no desire to use since.
A few years later, I decided to build this place. I wanted to help people do exactly what I did. I wanted to build a place where you can get better without losing your life.
One of my favorite quotes that was top of mind when going through rehab was "the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is today."

Likewise, it would have been better not to become addicted in the first place. But, what's done is done. The best time to get treatment is today.

The Old Way vs. The New Way Of Treatment

Right now, your brain is telling you a scary story.

It is telling you that going to treatment is a punishment.

You picture cold hospital rooms, bad food, and people judging you.

You think it means you have failed.

That is the "Old Way" of thinking. That is not what we do here. We built this place for people who need a break, not a prison.

Questions & Answers

What is recovery actually like?

It is not like the movies. It is not a prison with bars. It is a safe place where you can take a break from the stress of your life. Think of it more like a retreat for your health than a punishment for bad behavior.

How do I know If I Need Recovery?

If you have tried to stop on your own and couldn't, you probably need help. If your use is starting to hurt your job, your family, or your health, it is time. You don't have to wait until you lose everything to ask for help.

Will I be locked in?

No. You are not a prisoner. You are a guest. You are here voluntarily to get better. We ask you to stay so we can help you, but you are able to leave.

Will I get sick when I stop?

You will not have to suffer. We use medicine to help your body stop safely. This takes away the shaking, the nausea, and the pain. You will mostly just feel tired and sleep a lot for the first few days.

Can I bring my phone?

Yes. We might ask you to put it away at times, but we want you to stay connected to your loved ones. You are not cut off from the world.

Is it expensive?

It is often much cheaper than people think because insurance usually pays for it. If you have health insurance through your job, there is a good chance your stay will cost you very little or nothing at all.

What substances do you treat?

We offer detox for alcohol, prescription medications (opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants), cocaine, and marijuana.

Will my boss find out?

Only if you tell them. We are like a hospital, we have strict privacy laws. We cannot call your employer or tell them why you are here. If you need time off, it just looks like "medical leave" for a health issue.

Do I have to talk in group therapy?

You will never be forced to speak if you are not ready. Listening is okay, too. But most people find that once they hear others sharing stories just like theirs, they actually want to share.

Is it religious?

We respect all beliefs. You do not have to be religious to get sober. We focus on healing your mind and body. If you want spiritual support, we have it, but we do not force religion on anyone.

Can I smoke or vape?

Yes, most centers have designated areas for this. We want you to quit the dangerous drugs first. We don't expect you to change everything all at once.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we work with many major insurers. We can verify your benefits quickly and confidentially.

Can I start immediately?

In many cases, yes. We can often schedule an intake assessment within 24 hours.

What kind of food will I eat?

You need strength to heal, so we make sure you eat well. We provide real, healthy meals. It is not "cafeteria slop."

What makes your program different?

We specialize in private, discreet care designed specifically for professionals who need flexibility without sacrificing quality medical support.
